crazy eyes!

she kept shutting me into the pantry and acting surprised when she opened the door and i was still in there. sigh.... toddlers...

we helped uncle warren put up wainscoting (is that what it's called??) in gramma's house today. dad used his manliness to pull up all the old baseboards and stuff, mom pulled out all the nails, uncle warren did all the measuring, sawing and nailing, aunt cathy did....well....she did everything AND oversaw us day-laborers, gramma made sure we were fed and happy, and elizabeth ran around yelling unintelligible orders at all of us. oh and we all did some serious wallpaper scraping. it was good times.

at gramma's house. bets kept conning her cousins into refilling that bowl with marshmallows.

at the park. dad just finished yogging. it's a new thing. yeah apparently you just run for extended periods of time. elizabeth isn't very happy to be leaving.

the first sunburn. i'm sure it won't be the last. i felt terrible. it'e even EXTRA red where she rubbed off the sunscreen....above the eyebrows. oops.

she isn't picking her nose. she discovered there's a hole there a couple days ago, so she just tests it out every now and again. her finger's a perfect little fit. and if you try to remove it, she makes a little game of finding it again. best to just leave her be.

she loves to play around with the sheets when i'm changing the bedding. it adds an element of challenge to the task.

in other news, we find out the gender of the next family addition in exactly one week. woo!

why do i love this pic so much? i think it really simply depicts your little personality. you are busy! and you aren't concerned with what anyone thinks about it! when we walk, you are the leader, and when we're in a group you're seldom shy. i'll be in the kitchen and i'll look out into the backyard...and you'll look like a little speck way out there, just talking to the trees and picking flowers and rearranging dirt and whatnot. it's so fun to watch your personality reveal itself.

cousin nathan was baptized today. elizabeth loved running around with and apparently receiving secrets from her cousins at the afterparty.

the bubble machine was a total hit for about 30 seconds. elizabeth was captivated....with the machine more than the bubbles. we'll put it up a lot higher next time:)

dog grooming day again. at first elizabeth was a little hesitant with a puppy jumping all over her, but at about 15 minutes in, that dog was taking cover from her. elizabeth loved chasing ginger around, trying to feed her inedible items, and sticking her hands in the dog's mouth.
